Bob Myers started his career a little different then some of the other candidates we've read up on. But that didn't make anything tough for Bob at all. Most of you may know him from creating the superteam with Steph, Klay, and Durant. But he's been building this dynasty for years now, signing with the team in 2011 this dynasty started from the ground up. There's no sign of slowing down now either.
Bob started his education at UCLA, where he hung around the athletic department looking to speak with different personal about an opportunity. When he ran into a couple players who told him to tryout for the team. After all four years at UCLA Bob was able to walk away with a championship under his belt.
From college Bob went to work within a sports agency where he represented some of the top clients within the NBA, and from there he gained the opportunity to work for the Golden State Warriors, where he built a dominant dynasty that changed basketball forever. He also was the mastermind behind the 3 point shooting, and spacing the floor looking for the best shot. His team also worked enormously off of metrics and sports analytics.
Many people who spoke about Bob said the same thing over and over. He continues to work hard no matter what level he's out, or what he's accomplished. A grinder, who continues to push himself and everyone around him. An exciting, exhilarating, but having the mental ability to maintain balance, from sports to his personal life. This is where we can see a lot of players or agents or front office members struggle, having the ability to take a step back from the daily grind and take care of there mental stability. But most importantly the personal touch he brings, is what differentiates himself the most, being able to give players that real, personal feel can be rare nowadays since everyone's looking for there opportunity to shine. Bob just brings that real-life feel no matter where he is.
Bob in my eyes is someone everyone should at least study on. His determination and his ability to grind to greatness is something everyone can take something out of him. As well as being a good person. Giving everyone he speaks with that real personal feel, that's rare nowadays and is something we need more off. Overall he brings a different feel to the game and has really changed the game for the good. Transforming how we all practice and play the game forever.
